December 11th meeting details

 Hi all this a reminder re December meeting, which will start at 12.00 and finish at 4.00pm.


Please remember to bring your food donation to the Jacobs Join, along with serving cutlery etc. Also if you prefer you can bring your own plates & cutlery or you can use the halls crockery- NB their cutlery is limited.

We will provide tea/coffee etc as usual.

The door fee will be £3.00pp

We will be having the normal colour raffle- December will be Silver & Gold- in addition we will be holding a bumper raffle- Please remember to bring your donations for both raffles.

We will also hold a couple of fun activities.

As this is a special meeting 'Festive Fun' you will be able to make felt baubles so please bring your sewing kits and the materials below. We will also have a sales table which gives members a chance to sell & others a chance to buy goodies.- the guidelines are also below-

Project to make one bauble

·     At least one sheet of felt- 9 ½” x 6 ¼” (24cms x 16cms) – you could bring more if you want to make additional baubles.

·     Embroidery thread

·     Cotton sewing thread

·     Small bell or tassel (optional) NB you could make your own tassel on the day!

·     Twine & pencil/pen

·     Embellishments eg beads, sequins, ribbons etc

·     Sewing kit incl scissors, pins & needles

NB Sue will bring some additional felt, twine etc along with sequins, beads & ribbons

Sue will also provide a template to enable you to cut out the required shape


DVCS SHOP GUIDELINES

·        All items should be packaged or well presented.

·        All items should be clearly marked with a price & the sellers name.

·        Seller must provide a cash box or suitable box clearly marked with their name.

·        It is a good idea to have a list of items for sale, with your name at the top of the form.

·        Any monies made are subject to 15% commission which goes to branch funds.

·        The 15% commission should be counted by yourself and another & passed to the Treasurer/s on the day preferably in a cash bag or similar showing the amount, your name and sales table commission.

·        Any of your items not sold on the day MUST be taken home as you are responsible for those items.
