Christmas party 9th December

We had a really great meeting and a good attendance, considering the rather blustery & wet weather. However at least we did not have to cancel it this time. Last year snow & ice which is not a good combination for some of our older members.

We had a good array of food for our Jacobs Join, and although some of the quizzes were challenging I know the ladies enjoyed themselves.

We even had a visit from Santa who handed out some lovely presents-

The bumper raffle was very exciting and a huge thanks to Donna for sorting out three lovely bags of goodies- I didn't win anything - however that's a blessing as I am trying to get rid of my enormous stash!!!

The colour raffle- brown & Gold was beautiful and I think won by our new member Jackie.

The stitch project went down well, and the members produced some lovely snowmen - some were not quite finished but I'm sure they will be at home.

Paula Madill  won first prize with her lovely complete Santa Snowman, and as one member pointed out this was only possible if you did not make the food your priority- its a good job I didn't attempt to make one!!!

As you can see below we had a huge selection of rather diverse snowmen- wonderful!
