Christmas festive do 10th December

 We are set to have a great extended meeting- which starts at 12.00 and ends 3.30pm.- Free entry

We have a lucky dip for members, quizzes, a fun group project, colour raffle & bumper raffle.

We will also have a jacobs join with food donated by the members- always brilliant.

Requirement list for 12th Dec meeting

·         General sewing kit incl fabric scissors/ embroidery scissors/paper scissors

·         Embroidery threads eg stranded/ perle

·         Pencil/pen or similar to mark coloured felt eg tailors chalk or fabric marker

·         Tracing paper or baking parchment

·         Small scraps of felt (preferably wool mix not acrylic) *

·         Beads/buttons/sequins *

·         Small embellishments eg lace, ribbons etc*

·         We will provide you with patterns, instructions, white felt, toy stuffing etc.

·         Sue will also have items * so please do not go out and buy anything.

Please remember to bring your donations for the Colour Raffle- Silver & Grey along with your food donations and items from the requirement list for the project.

It maybe a good idea to bring a knife, fork & spoon.

'Making a book Block with Mary Seaman 12th November

 We had a great talk & demo on Making a book block- a tricky subject to demo as you really need to look up close and have a go.

However Mary provided us with a handout, and the pictures below help a bit-








Sheila won the colour raffle which was a huge bag of blue goodies

Nov 12th meeting 'Making a Book Block' with Mary Seaman

 Hi all our meeting on Saturday 12th November will feature a talk by Mary Seaman on ' Making a Book Block'

Mary will show us how to prepare and make a book block in preparation for adding an embroidered front cover and a back cover.





Our colour raffle is 'Blue'- please bring donations in that colourway


Also please bring your general craft donations for our December bumper raffle and pass those to Donna.

The NW Open Day went very well, with some beautiful items for sale, and exhibition pieces from textile groups around Lancashire, Cheshire & Cumbria.

We made a small profit from our sales and this will be used to benefit our group at the Christmas Bash in December. Watch this space!!!
