Parbold Village Festival - Douglas Valley Creative Stitchers stall

Hi we had a pretty successful day at the festival- with a good attendance of members on the stall, and plenty of interest and enquiries from members of the public.

It was a great opportunity to network, put faces to names and have a good gossip.

I dont really think we did much stitching and we had no takers from the adult members of the public to have a go, however two little girls did attempt to stitch and they took the card, wool and plastic needle home to finish off- or not!

The weather really helped as sunny and a bit blowy (everything had to be anchored down) which generated a good public turnout.

We have learnt some lessons for next year, possibly sell some items & have some tougher card with bigger holes for the childrens' project.

Also if the weather is not so kind we would really need a second gazebo to enable us to move tables etc further in as textiles and rain do not mix.

Below are some rather hasty photos taken near the end of the day so we look tired but happy.
