Parbold Festival report & photos

This year we had a couple of tables in the big marquee, and thank goodness!!

We set up in sunshine and finished early in a thunderstorm and gales.- but we kept dry!

Many of the outside stalls were in a bad way. with tents blowing away and gazebos collapsing.

The downside of being in the main tents was poor footfall, however I have suggested that stalls selling textiles/crafts be in the main tent next year, with better signage.

Here are a few photos taken on the day before the big storm hit.

'Bobbin Lace' talk with Christina Mutch

The talk went really well with loads of examples of friends of Christina and Lace group members work, along with some of Christina's own work and work from some of her young students.

It was a fascinating and interesting talk and the photos belong do not do justice of some of the exquisite samples of lace.
